Fritz Willis was an American pin-up illustrator that was chosen by Esquire magazine to create the cover pages. That was the beginning of his 30 years long career, as one of the most famous painters of his times. He was working with such companies as Max Factor, Pepsi-cola, Warner Brothers. What is interesting about his works is that we see the same face on all paintings. One can suspect that there was his wife, who was posing in order to save the family budget. He was usually working with oil on canvas, or sometimes gouache. [full-width] [wide]
